Dodge ball-In this game you divide the troop in half, with one half on each side of a room between 50 & 150 feet wide. Scouts throw 1-2 soft, large balls at the other team without crossing the center line. If someone is hit by the ball without it bouncing first, that person is “out” and goes to the out line. If that person were to catch the ball, the first person in their team’s “out” line is allowed to come back into the game. The object is to get the entire other team into their “out” line at the same time.

Steal The Bacon-Troop is divided into two halves. Everyone is given a number so that you end up with two teams, each having a one, two, three, etc. Scouts are lined up along walls of a room with opposite teams on opposite ends. In the middle, a leader drops an object and calls out either a number(s) or trait(s)(i.e. “3,5,&19” or “redheads and people with green shorts”). Scouts falling into this category run out and try to grab the object and bring it back to their side. If they are tagged, the must give the object to the tagger on the other team. There are no tag-backs for 1 second. Team which successfully gets the ball back to their side the most number of times wins.

Shoe Game-In this game patrols are teams. The patrols make a large circle. They all take off their left shoe and place it into a pile in the center of the circle. At leaders command, everyone rushes in, grabs their shoe, puts it on, and sits down in their patrol as fast as they can. The first patrol to sit down wins. You can do several rounds and have rounds with both shoes at the same time.
